Page 3 of 3 The most basic form of advertising is pricing based on Cost per Thousand Impressions (CPM). Advertisers contract a specific number of impressions (expressed in thousands) that will run over the span of a month. An impression is considered each time an advertisement is displayed to a reader on a Web page.
Pricing begins at the open (non-contract) rate. Discounts are offered for extended commitments of six and 12-month lengths. Prices are current as of 8/1/06 and are subject to change.

Often advertisers are interested in securing exclusivity for the entire month or longer, for targeting and branding purposes. For those advertisers, a section sponsorship can be purchased. Pricing is based on the number of impressions a given section receives, but is significantly less than the CPM rates. A discount is provided as all available impressions are being purchased. Sponsorships are available for all sections excluding the front page, and directory (due to volume).

The price above is based on the open (non-contract) rates. Additional discounts are available for extended commitments of six or 12-month lengths. Contact us for current section sponsorship pricing.
