Oak Mountain is Alabama's largest State Park, with almost 10,000 acres of mountains, lakes, and forests for hiking, biking, and fishing, a well-developed golf course, riding stable, and day use facilities for groups of any size. Campers may choose from 131 developed campsites or 10 comfortable cabins. Lakeside picnic pavilions can accommodate groups of 50 or more, and hundreds of picnic tables are scattered within walking distance of convenience stations. Oak Mountain facilities are patrolled, and the gatehouse is staffed 24 hours a day.
